Shelby: Welcome once again to Business Showcase.
I'm Shelby. I'm here with Jamie Bridgewater with BridgewaterRoofing.
Jamie: Yes ma'am.

Shelby: We want to talk a little bit about your business and how you take care of your customers.
Jamie: Right.
Shelby: If I call you, can I get a free estimate and get started that way?
Jamie: Absolutely, get a free estimate. That's generally how people do.
They call in and we go out and give them a free estimate.
Just talk them through the process, whether it be with insurance companies.
And we deal with insurance companies.
We meet adjusters out on the job, you know, things like that.
And we take care of the whole process from beginning to end, you pick a color, write us a check, and then you're done.
Shelby: Oh, that sounds great. That takes a lot of stress out of it, especially with you working with the insurance companies and everything as well.

Shelby: You know, sometimes I get people that come to my door and say, "Hey, you want me to work on your roof?"
I would advise against that, maybe call somebody that's very reputable because you've said before - sometimes a homeowner will hire someone and then they end up calling Bridgewater Roofing later. So maybe go with you in the first place.
Jamie: Yeah, go with us. There are people knocking on doors and there are more and more roofers in Joplin, Missouri each and every day.
That's okay. But if you've got a company that's been in Joplin, Missouri like us for 25 years.
This is our 25th anniversary and we are celebrating it with the Joplin area and we cover the whole four-state area.
So yeah, they usually call someone else and then when that's all over, they call us anyway. So just call us at first.

Shelby: Which I have to say probably costs some more money in the long run.
Jamie: Definitely does.
Shelby: If they want to find out more, then stop by your business, and give you a call.
Jamie: Stop by our business. We're at 712 South Willard Avenue or look us up on the web at bridgewaterroofing.net
Shelby: Okay, great. We can see some pictures of some of your work there and that'll work out great.
Give them a call. They'll take good care of you from start to finish. You heard it all right here.
Jamie: Thank you very much.

What to do Before Signing a Roofing Contract: 4 Overlooked Components of Hiring a Roofing Contractor.

The Psychology Behind Trust-Building

When you're inviting a contractor to work on your home, you're not just hiring a service; you're entering into a relationship. Pay attention to how a contractor makes you feel during the initial interaction. Do they listen attentively? Are they patient with your questions? These subtle cues can indicate how they'll treat you throughout the project.

The Importance of Crew Dynamics

While it's common to focus on the contractor's credentials, don't overlook the importance of the roofing crew. A cohesive team that works well together can significantly impact the efficiency and quality of your roofing project. During your initial discussions, ask about the crew's experience working together and their typical workflow.

Understanding the True Cost of Quality

While it's tempting to opt for the lowest bid, understand that quality roofing is an investment. A slightly higher upfront cost can translate to significant long-term savings through durability and reduced maintenance. Ask contractors to break down their pricing, explaining the value behind each component of their quote.

Pro Tip: Always get everything in writing and never rely on verbal agreements, as they can be difficult to enforce.

The Importance of Local Expertise

At Bridgewater Roofing, we pride ourselves on our deep understanding of local weather patterns and building codes. A contractor with strong local roots can offer invaluable insights into region-specific roofing challenges and solutions. They're also more likely to have established relationships with local suppliers, potentially leading to better material options and pricing for you.

Conclusion: Beyond the Basics

Choosing the right roofing contractor goes beyond checking licenses and insurance. By considering these often-overlooked factors, you can make a more informed decision that leads to a successful roofing project. Remember, a great contractor doesn't just install a roof; they provide peace of mind and a lasting solution for your home.At Bridgewater Roofing, we're committed to being more than just roofers – we aim to be your trusted partners in protecting and enhancing your home.
